Samsung recently launched four new smartphones for the Indian market ranged from Rs.8,800 to Rs. 13,500. These phone are launched under the Wave and Omnia series, three of which are running Samsung Bada OS while Omnia is running on Windows Mobile 6.5. Below mentioned are a sneak peak of the phone with their specifications.
Samsung Wave 525
- 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240×400 resolution support and 256k color output depth.
- 3.2MP Camera with fixed focusing.
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS support
- Internal memory of 100MB with expandable capacity of 16GB via microSD cards.
Samsung Wave 533 (Wave 2 Pro)
All the specification are same as the Wave 525. The only difference is it comes with a slide out QWERTY keyboard to make your typing faster and more efficient.
Samsung Wave 723
- 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 240×400 resolution support and 256k color output depth.
- 5MP Camera with Auto Focus capability.
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS support.
- Internal memory of 90MB with expandable capacity of 16GB via microSD cards.
Samsung Omnia 652
- 2.4 inch capacitive touchscreen with 320×240 resolution support and 65k color output depth.
- 2MP Fixed Focus Camera.
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G support.
- Internal memory of 220MB with expandable capacity of 16GB via microSD cards.
Prices and Verdict
Samsung Wave 525, 533 and 723 are available in the market at Rs. 8,800, Rs. 9,990 and Rs.13,500 respectively where as Omnia is priced at Rs. 10,600. The value of money is good as all the above devices comes with capacitive touchscreens, good looks, great connectivity and last but not the least brand name of Samsung. Although If you ask me the best in the four model above I will pick out Wave 533 because of its large capacitive touch screen, helpful QWERTY keyboard and decent price.
