The European version of the Lumia 920 supports five LTE bands, while the American version supports just three LTE bands. Another thing to note is that the Lumia 920 supports FD-LTE while Indian LTE carriers are utilizing TD-LTE, which are incompatible. Not to forget that the Indian carriers have LTE spectrum in the 2300MHz band, which is not supported by the Lumia 920 at all. Before you get your hopes up, we reckon that this is an error and the Lumia 920 won’t support all the nine FD-LTE bands and would certainly not have TD-LTE support for Indian carriers.
On a positive note, we got to try the Lumia 920 over the weekend, especially its camera’s optical image stabilization for shooting videos and were left mighty impressed. If you are looking for a smartphone with a heavy duty camera, the Lumia 920 could be just your thing. It also has a spectacular display and comes with all the Nokia goodies – music, maps and navigation – which in our books has the potential of making it the best Windows Phone smartphone out there. Watch this space for our in-depth review in the coming weeks!
